Although born into a church going family, Terry Beckom didn’t commit his life to Christ until he was 27. From this experience He began to search for spiritual reality which culminated in being filled with the Holy Spirit and responding to God’s call to begin preparation for ordained ministry at the age of 35. Terry was in the first group of married adults returning to college and pursuing a totally new “way of life.” Not being sure of what type of ministry God was calling him to, Terry accepted a student appointment to pastor a church while in school. Although he had always wanted to be an evangelist it was evident that God had gifted him and called him to the local church. Terry continued to pastor local churches until his retirement in 2004. Terry’s goal as a pastor was to disciple people so that they could fully experience the life that Christ has for them, and this continues to be the goal of his life and ministry today. Terry and his wife Brenda make their home in Darlington, SC.
