My name is Leesha Geary. I am going to be fifteen in two months. I love to ride horses; I barrel race. Two years ago I got my first horse named Skittles. I still have her today, but am probably going to get a new can chaser, because she is very small and I've almost outgrown her. My parents were divorced officially as of May 30th, but my dad moved out around December 20th of 2016. I was prophesied over two and a half weeks ago by an amazing Christian lady. She believes that I have a lot in store in my life. She told me that God has big plans for me. It works, because I have big dreams for me. I believe that God works all things together for the good of those who love him, and are called according to his purpose. That is one specific lesson God has taught me over the past three years. Tragedy after tragedy has occurred, because God is molding me. In 2014, I was in fifth grade. My dad was fired from his eight year job at a Christian, I'll say it again, Christian, school. He was the principal for eight years, as I mentioned before. But before that, he was a math teacher (at the same school). I don't know how many years he was shoving algebra into eighth graders' heads, but the point is, he was committed to that school. You can imagine the shock that came over our family when we found out he was let go. He moved to Crawford for my sixth grade year, and that was so hard. He had always been there for me. I was Daddy's little girl. I even had a shirt that said so. So, I'm kind of embarrassed to say that I went into depression. It was better when I got my horse. My dad came back in late June, after I went to Rodeo Bible Camp. Rodeo Bible Camp and Skittles I think saved my life. Literally. My seventh grade year we (my brother, Cameron, and my sister Erika, my mom, and I) moved to Crawford. It was kind of hard, but it ended up being a great year. I didn't need to depend on God, I thought. Summer went by fast, and eighth grade came. In December of 2016 (I think it's the 19th, but don't quote me) my dad announced that he and my mom were getting a divorce. For about five months, I fought reality. Then, miraculously, God turned my life around. That was two weeks ago, and i'm so excited to see what God has for me in the coming year and years.
