Born 1951 in Bermuda and baptized there in 1952. Moved to the Philadelphia suburbs in 1953 and attended The Episcopal Academy 1956-70. Confirmed at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Philadelphia, 1961. B. A. with honors in government, Phi Beta Kappa, University of Virginia, 1974. Master's in public policy, University of California, Berkeley, 1976. Career in Washington, DC in policy as an analyst and lobbyist, 1976-2016. Served on a condominium board in D.C. and a neighborhood association board in Falls Church. Married Joy Kreeft, 1984; children Alexa in 1990 and Nicole in 1992. Coached recreation league soccer. Sang at the Kennedy Center about 175 times with major choruses. Also a serious amateur poet. Now retired as a "snowbird" with four church affiliations: The Falls Church Anglican, 1985-present, formal voting membership, where children were raised; Blues Bar Church, Annandale, VA (Rev. Allan Dayhoff); Grace Episcopal Church, Massies Mill, VA (April-Nov); St. John's Episcopal Church, Christiansted VI (Jan-April). Attended Shrine Mont CFO all but one year starting 1996. Served on Ring twice including three years as secretary. Have undertaken various other assignments including announcements and airport pickup. Assisted wife Joy, who has just finished four years as Zone 7 alternate and delegate, participating in Zone 7 retreats and three national meetings and even substituting for her once. 2018 will be my first year of leading creative drama.
